before 5th october to get registered and to qualify for the awards.

Does the engine that is going to be delivered to us, come with the exhaust manifold attached (in which case we have to design only the part after the manifold) or is it going to come without the exhaust manifold ( in which case we have to design the entire exhaust system starting from the engine exhaust valves)? 

Can we remove the exhaust manifold and redesign the exhaust from scratch ( if the exhaust manifold comes with the engine) ?

Are we allowed to remove the gearbox and change its location (making it chain or belt driven)?

I wonder if that guy has ever heard about a """" TOE CONTROL ROD """ that we mount at the rear.
Or i guess Supra Qualifiers are too weak in Simple Physics.

Just few days back i talked about our experiences during the design report development.
You can go back and checkout the message. In the name of Mechsonic Racing, i talked about how the presentation ended abruptly in less than 5mins .... we were not even allowed to present our 5 slides out of 20, or put forth our other assets....

So basically it's not CRIBBING, it's just an issue that we faced and are not happy about.

I just really want to know the basis of the judgement.
We would have preferred a systematic and scientific approach for the selection of teams.

A part from the Technical queries lets share our unique, usual, unusual experiences UPTO VIRTUAL ROUND.

To start: Troubled our Mech Dept HOD till last day b4 leaving to Pune uptill morning 2am!!!! 

We worked 16Hrs Daily for 4 days b4 submisn of Design Report.... i saw my roomies face after 4days on the night after submitting and reaching room early!!!!

Gosh! i love this competition!!! Viva Racing!

In section 6.3.3.6.4, the rulebook states that "A free vertical cross section, which allows the template shown in Drawing Y to be passed vertically through the cockpit to a point 100 mm (4 inches) behind the face of the rearmost pedal when in the inoperative position, must be maintained over its entire length. The only things that may encroach on this area are the steering wheel, steering column and any padding that is required by Rule" .

Does this simply imply that the section must maintain the given dimensions or that a template will be physically passed through the section at the time of scrutiny? If it is the latter, then how are we to place the steering column? 

I do believe that the rulebook only requires the dimensions to be maintained. Yet I wanted to confirm.

Engine CC is increaed to the Maximum of 800CC.

Teams can use any other engine and transmission within the limit of 800CC.

Its not mandatory to use only M800 engine and tranmission.
